I first noticed the brand evanhealy when I was a cashier at Whole Foods. A customer was buying several products at my register and I thought the packaging was gorgeous. I also noticed their alluring slogan, “the skin breathes.” I hesitated to try any of it though, because it was more pricey than any beauty products I had purchased in the past, the past being primarily my teenage years. It wasn’t until a few years later that I was shopping at another Whole Foods with my daughter and a sales representative gave me a tiny sample pot of the Whipped Shea Butter with Olive Leaf. As soon as I tried it at home I was sold.
Since the time I entered my twenties, I’ve been religious about moisturizing. Ever since I parted ways with the chemical-laden products I used in my teens, I’ve sought natural moisturizers and facial cleansers that don’t have unnecessary, unknown additives. For several years, I even used straight olive oil and coconut oil as moisturizer. However, olive oil smells olive-y and both of those are rather messy to use as a daily moisturizer. Evanhealy’s products are made primarily with pure, organic ingredients and make natural facial care luxurious.
I have found evanhealy’s Whipped Shea Butter with Olive Leaf to be the perfect solution for me. I’ve been using it for more than three years now. The product is quite thick and greasy, but I find that I appreciate that in the arid, mountain climate I live in. I use it following every face wash. If, for some reason, I don’t have it on for the day, I feel a bit lost, not quite myself, and twenty years older! It has a lovely, light vanilla scent and the whipped texture makes it easy to gently blend into the skin. I have sensitive skin and this product has never irritated or stung my face in the least. I even use it as an ointment for cuts and scrapes and I dab it on my baby’s sweet cheeks when they are chapped from me kissing her so much. My baby always smiles when I put it on her and my other little girl likes it, too. This is my very favorite beauty product and if I could only choose one beauty product to use for the rest of my life, this would be it.

When I worked at Whole Foods, I always bought the product there. However, now that I am not often near a Whole Foods, I normally purchase it from evanhealy’s online store and that is where I discovered that they also make Whipped Shea Butter for Lips—one of the best products available for lips! So many lip balms actually seem to work against lips and cause them to become drier, but evanhealy’s is wonderfully smooth and hydrating. The beeswax base gives it more staying power for lips than the pot of Whipped Shea Butter. This is another product that I repurchase on a regular basis.

I just recently tried their Coconut Cream Cleanser for the first time. On impulse, I decided to try it when I made my most recent order to restock my Whipped Shea Butter. It seems very oily at first, but it does leave your skin feeling clean. I haven’t worn eye makeup since my daughter was born last year (I will likely experiment with it again in the future, but it’s too much work for now!), but I imagine that if you do, you would want to use eye makeup remover before using this product. Admittedly, there is not much more to this than coconut oil, so it will likely not be a regular purchase for me, as the Whipped Shea Butter is. Yet, it does have a lovely citrus scent, from essential oils of sweet orange and vetiver, and is pleasant to use when I have time to give myself a facial in the evening. If you already have coconut oil on hand, I recommend trying it as a moisturizing cleanser! Simply warm a small amount in your palm, apply to your face and rinse clean with warm water and a cloth.

It is rare to find products that are such pure blends and everything that the packaging would initially lead you to believe. However, I have found that evanhealy’s products live up to their claims, delivering gentle and effective skin care, with simple ingredients.
This is not a sponsored post. I am simply enthusiastic about these products and wanted to share! If you have any favorite natural beauty products, I would love to hear in the comments below.
I’ve used Dove soap (oops, I mean beauty bar) most of my life and Mary Kay moisturizer for about 13 or 14 years. It’s not unusual to hear that I don’t look my 52 years and I credit that to moisturizing twice a day. Much to my delight, St Ives apricot scrub has cleared up some long-lasting small, yet glaring to me, blemishes on my nose.
It’s true—you look at least ten years younger than you are! I have some youthful, good-looking aunts!
Yes, Laurie, I to use St. Ives apricot scrub I have for probably 30 years. I also use coconut oil and rosehip oil, since now I have extremely sensitive skin from an autoimmune issue. I’m always looking for products that don’t have anything fake or chemical filled as simple as possible the better for me. The whipped shea butter sounds very promising. By the way Randy and Joanna say that I still resemble my college self but then again so do they…But you Laurie look ridiculously young.

Like you, Heather, I am aspiring to keep life as simple as is reasonable. These products are packaged beautifully, that’s for sure! I use coconut oil for everything…..but now I’ll add a little citrus to one jar….thanks for the tip!!

I’m so glad you shared this Heather! I have mostly just used coconut oil and almond or jojoba oil for my facial needs, but not getting much sleep in the past year has made my skin a little more needy! maybe I should check these guys out:)
